We aim to create a space of welcome to celebrate diversity and intercultural exchange. We want to give a platform to individuals, groups and organisations who share similar values. We want to give voice and visibility to the diverse peoples who now are resident in Ireland.

Welcome Cafe

Sport can be a wonderful mechanism for promoting integration and interculturalism However it can be also be the forum of disturbing displays of racism.

SARI (Sport Against Racism) which was founded in 1997 is an organisation which has harnessed the powerful potential of sport as a vehicle for promoting social and cultural integration and combatting racism, sectarianism, homophobia and all other forms of discrimination, both on the island of Ireland and abroad.

We are pleased to welcome Ken McCue, SARI Cultural Planner, to this month's Welcome Café to tell us more about the history and work of SARI.
